Showroom Helper

We are looking for a diligent and reliable Store Helper to join our team. The Store Helper will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the store, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, and supporting the store team to ensure efficient service. This role is crucial in ensuring that our store is well-organized and ready to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against shipping documents.
• Sort, organize, and stock merchandise on shelves, in storage areas, and on display floors according to company standards.
• Assist with inventory management, including counting stock, performing cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and removing trash.
• Help prepare merchandise for display or sale, which may include tagging, folding, or assembling items.
• Assist customers with locating products and carrying purchases to their vehicles when needed.
• Operate basic store equipment safely, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks (if certified), or other material handling equipment.
• Support the sales team and other staff members as required.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or store environment is a plus but not required.
• Skills:
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative.
  • Basic understanding of inventory procedures is a bonus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items for extended periods.
• Capable of regularly lifting and moving merchandise weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and occasionally more with assistance.
• Comfortable working in various temperature conditions (e.g., in a stockroom or near loading docks).
