Role & responsibilities

Project Coordination & Planning

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and scheduling all project activities for substation works.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Track project progress and identify potential delays or resource conflicts.
  • Maintain updated project documentation, including drawings, material submittals, and approvals.
  • Communication & Liaison
  • Act as a focal point between the company, client, consultant, and subcontractors for project-related communication.
  • Arrange and participate in progress and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure all correspondence, reports, and submissions are properly documented and tracked.
  • Technical & Site Support
  • Coordinate technical queries (TQs) and ensure timely resolution from the engineering or design team.
  • Support site teams in ensuring works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Follow up on inspection and testing activities in coordination with QA/QC and client representatives.
  • Procurement & Material Control
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment as per project schedule.
  • Track material submittals, approvals, and deliveries to site.
  • Maintain records of vendor and supplier performance.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain project logs (drawing register, submittal log, RFI log, etc.).
  • Compile weekly and monthly project progress reports.
  • Support the preparation of as-built documentation, closeout reports, and project handover.

Preferred candidate profile

The candidates engineering college, along with the relevant subject/department, must be listed with the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) to be eligible for membership with the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE). This is a mandatory requirement.
