Job Description

Manages Water Supply operations and personnel within assigned area of responsibility (AOR), typically at the Country, Deputy Country or similar level. Manages water purification operations. Provides oversight and guidance to supervisors at outlying sites. Administers the water purification program and develops processes to execute water supply services. Ensures compliance with all water quality standards and operational requirements. Evaluates existing practices and procedures, develops improvements, and implements improvements to maximize value to the customer. Ensures proper sampling, documentation and record keeping to meet applicable reporting requirements. Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities and equipment through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with team personnel. Conducts and/or attends and contributes to periodic safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency. Provides training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner. May provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS). Ensures that subordinates are properly trained to perform assigned job duties, and that work is being performed in conformance with client and company requirements. Communicates project status, issues and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate. Follows and requires safe work practices. Completes all administrative requirements. Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and seven (7) years to ten (10) years related experience.

Other Job Requirements

Requires computer skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Certification as a water purification specialist is required

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have a Secret Security Clearance

Must have Water Operator certification or equivalent

Inspect and repair water tanks, water lines, and septic lines; plumbing, plumbing fixtures, and piping; and ancillary equipment supporting Water Systems on AASAB, Cargo City, and JSSD-K, including two K gallon water tanks supplying water to AASAB and the Ultra-Violet Sanitation Systems at the DFAC.

Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.

Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior military and/or contingency experience
