Job Title: C-17 Support Equipment Technician

This role involves providing maintenance and calibration of the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) Support Equipment in support of C-17 Field Services based at Al-Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate C-17 SE maintenance requirements and plan, research, develop, analyze and retrofit repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Define procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered products.
  • Plan and coordinate modifications, maintenance, and repair of enterprise products and assist engineering staff in planning and incorporating improvements.
  • Assist project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to SE maintenance, modifications, calibration, proof load test and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Review and recommend projects and proposals or aircraft Support Equipment modification.
  • Required to assist in moderately complex or multiple projects, and develop, coordinate and forecast requirements.
  • Maintain equipment and systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.
  • Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components.
  • Conducts complex functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.
  • Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.
  • Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.
  • Responsible for assisting project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to SE maintenance, modifications, calibration, proof load test and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience working on aircraft support equipment.
  2. Prior experience on US Air Force and/or Boeing maintaining aircraft ground support equipment is highly desirable.
  3. The ability to troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components and conduct complex functional tests by operating ground support equipment using appropriate test tools.
  4. Familiarity with documentation programs such as AFI 21-101, 00-20-1, etc.
  5. Ability to operate forklift, crane, and other vehicles as required.
  6. Demonstrated proficiency with database entry software systems and Microsoft operating system, including Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
