Lead Economist

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Economist to join our team at Expertise Recruitment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of economic policies and strategies, as well as provide expert opinions and advice on economic matters.

This is a great chance for a Senior Economic Advisor to take on new challenges and responsibilities, including supervising the preparation of economic and social studies and research.

1. Supervise the preparation of economic and social studies and research.
2. Participate in project assessment, prepare evaluation reports, and monitor ongoing projects.
3. Contribute to the study and monitoring of technical assistance, preparing necessary memoranda and agreements.
4. Provide opinions and advice on economic matters as requested by Management.
5. Assist in managing, monitoring, and enhancing the fellowship program.
6. Supervise and collaborate in preparing chapters of the unified Arab economic report.
7. Review drafts of report chapters and provide feedback.
8. Organize and facilitate economic and social conferences and seminars.
9. Represent the institution in international conferences, seminars, and boards of directors of invested institutions.

1. Doctorate in Economics from a reputable university.
2. 12+ years of proven experience as an Economist in a national or international financial institution, research institutions, or public organizations engaged in studies, research, and programming.
3. At least 5 years of experience in project analysis, evaluation, and management.
4. Leadership skills, ability to persuade others, work in teams, and coordinate efforts.
5. Effective time management skills with adherence to deadlines.
6. Attention to detail and precision in work.
7. Proficiency in economics fundamentals, statistical analysis, and computational economics, including computer applications.
8. Strong analytical skills and understanding of international economic issues.
9. Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential, and proficiency in French is considered desirable.
