Welcome to this exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cabling Network Technician As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications cabling networks within the facility. We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for delivering high-quality results and meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, install, test, and repair telecommunications cabling media, including coaxial, fiber optic, and UTP cabling.
- Perform thorough cable testing and certification using specialized equipment, including ohm meters, toners, and OTDRs.
- Troubleshoot and correct problems related to cable continuity, noise, signal loss, improper termination, excessive loss, and intermittent issues.
- Maintain accurate records of cable installations and repairs, utilizing database software such as Remedy to track and control work orders.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of telecommunications services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications cabling installation and maintenance.
- Certification in Fiber Optic repair Course preferred.
- Able to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
