About the RoleAs a key member of our organization, you will oversee a distributed team of engineers responsible for designing and implementing Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server hardware platforms and software stacks. Your primary focus will be on engaging with partners to deliver an optimized high-quality Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers in developing and maintaining Ubuntu's integration with cutting-edge hardware and software technologies.
- Collaborate closely with partners to ensure seamless delivery of Ubuntu-based solutions that meet their specific needs.
- Coach, mentor, and develop your team members through regular feedback and guidance, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
- Oversee project milestones and engagements to ensure timely completion and exceed expectations.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of quality and reliability throughout all projects.
- Cultivate strong relationships with other teams at Canonical to align on product architecture and roadmaps.
- Work remotely with occasional global travel opportunities.
- You possess significant experience working with Linux distributions, Debian packaging, and high-performance server hardware.
- Your background includes direct customer-facing work, resolving technical issues, and addressing business challenges.
- Proven track record of managing or leading software engineering teams, driving results through effective collaboration and communication.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field is preferred.
