We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Expert to join our Security Hardening team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the security foundation for Ubuntu and its users.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:- Collaborating with other engineers to achieve and retain various Security certifications.
- Extending and enhancing Linux cryptographic components to meet FIPS and CC certification requirements.
- Working with external security consultants to test and validate kernel and crypto module components.
- Developing security hardening benchmarks and audit + remediation automation for Ubuntu.
- Contributing to Ubuntu mainline and upstream projects to drive innovation and community benefits.
- Identifying opportunities to improve our security posture, resolving issues, and delivering high-quality solutions on schedule.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Canonical's kernel team and the wider engineering organization, to drive features impacting all Ubuntu users.
