Aircraft Servicer Role Overview

This position involves servicing aircraft, ensuring the safe operation of airframes and engines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Servicing aircraft, performing tasks such as replenishing water and waste system chemicals, refueling and defueling, and towing.
  2. Operating ground support equipment like electrical power carts, engine starting carts, and nitrogen carts.
  3. Examining tires for air pressure and condition.
  4. Positioning boarding platforms for unloading or loading passengers.
  5. De-icing aircraft wings and assemblies.
  6. Extracting engine oil samples for analysis.
  7. Coordinating with air traffic control via land mobile radio.
  8. Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airframe/power plant license or military documentation reflecting aircraft maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

Working Conditions
  • Remote and uncomfortable living conditions may be required.
  • Prolonged exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions.
  • Must be prepared for short notice relocation and adverse working conditions.

Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
