Aircraft Servicer Role OverviewThis position involves servicing aircraft, ensuring the safe operation of airframes and engines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Servicing aircraft, performing tasks such as replenishing water and waste system chemicals, refueling and defueling, and towing.
- Operating ground support equipment like electrical power carts, engine starting carts, and nitrogen carts.
- Examining tires for air pressure and condition.
- Positioning boarding platforms for unloading or loading passengers.
- De-icing aircraft wings and assemblies.
- Extracting engine oil samples for analysis.
- Coordinating with air traffic control via land mobile radio.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airframe/power plant license or military documentation reflecting aircraft maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Working Conditions
- Remote and uncomfortable living conditions may be required.
- Prolonged exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions.
- Must be prepared for short notice relocation and adverse working conditions.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
