Implementation Testing Engineer Job Description

Key Responsibilities

This role involves participating in project planning, creating test documentation, and developing test plans and test cases to ensure software products meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both implementation and testing methodologies, guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality products to clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the software product and its functionality.
  2. Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and document test cases.
  3. Execute test cases, track and report defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  4. Conduct end-to-end testing for customer software/solutions submitted based on project signed scope and customer profile.
  5. Manage the entire testing phase with customer SIT and UAT team members, attend to queries, and report and track customer-reported issues.
  6. Ensure proper tracking and reporting on daily/weekly status during the testing phase.
  7. Monitor, assist, and support customers during test case execution, defects tracking, and internal reporting.
  8. Conduct necessary testing and verification on all resolved bugs prior to submission.
  9. Conduct post-release update deployment and run a sanity check to ensure the setup is ready for customer teams.
  10. Create and maintain non-functional testing that covers performance, security, and penetration as well as technical testing.
  11. Ensure all testing activities are performed in accordance with established testing standards, methodologies, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience in web functional testing covering requirement gathering and analysis.
  • Experience in security testing tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of STLC and test process phases.
  • Excellent banking experience with field practice on payments from both customer experience, operations, and end-to-end payment execution lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of payments of all types including SWIFT, MI Payments, Cross-Border Corridors, and Remittance Management.
  • Understanding of SWIFT, SWIFT GPI, SWIFT-Go, SWIFT Pre-validation, SWIFT CBPR+, SWIFT APIs, and future roadmap of SWIFT to market.
  • Experience with multiple payments-related project implementations with banks, FIs, and/or PSPs in the MENA region.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills in English.
