A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a 3D Modelmaking and Digital Fabrication Lab Manager. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our state-of-the-art digital fabrication lab.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate, maintain, and oversee equipment such as laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools.
    • Provide technical assistance and supervision to students using the lab for coursework and projects.
    • Monitor inventory, prepare materials, and ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols.
    • Support faculty with demonstrations, project setup, and lab-based assignments.
    • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs or coordinate servicing of lab machinery.
    • Host workshops for students, contribute to Professional Development (PD) Day programming, and manage general lab operations, scheduling, and upkeep.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in interior design/architecture or equivalent.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in 3D modelmaking, including loading/unloading parts from CNC milling machines, laser cut machines, pattern cutting tables, 3D printing, measuring and inspecting, making dimensional adjustments.
    • Evaluate students' designs to ensure they are compatible with the printer's settings.
    • Capable of creating weekly and daily schedules for printing.
    • Comprehensive understanding of 3D Printing, CNC machines, pattern cutting tables, and Laser Cut machines operation and safety features.
    • Able to calibrate and maintain lab equipment.
    • Ability to supervise and manage the 3D Printers operations.
    • Team player, open to new ideas and teamwork, self-motivated individual, willing to continually strive to increase personal knowledge and value.
    • Flexible, reliable, with the ability to work with no supervision.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Fluency in English.
