This position is located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP. The Transportation Coordinator must be capable of monitoring and managing various movement control functions, including customer service, convoy briefings, staging area management, hazardous material documentation certification, movement control reports, RFID management, document cargo, container management, and safety briefings.
The Transportation Coordinator must be familiar with hazardous materials, integrated booking system container management module, radio frequency identification tags, and cargo movement operations system.
Responsibilities:- Monitor all transportation movements
- Assist in sourcing new modes of transportation and carriers
- Analyze cost of freight performance for carriers
- Responsible for monitoring scheduled movements
- Ensure security has been coordinated; link up teams and movement control teams for required moves
- Input convoy movement data into ledger, close convoy entries, and track convoys on movement tracking system and BCS3
- Retrieve all convoy reports from movement control teams via NIPR computers
- Contact movement control teams when reports are not received by required times
- Assist in creating circulation overlays
- Maintain historical data on all movements
- Possess the ability to perform movement control operations
- Must be acquainted with material handling equipment operations
- Knowledge of moving ocean freight shipment through designated SPOE/D
- Lead cargo trucks convoy and have overall responsibility for mission coordination, preparation, equipment safety, and accountability
