Senior Electrical Metrology Specialist

The Senior Electrical Metrology Specialist will provide expert services to the Government of Kuwait, conducting research and studies on new equipment to ensure the latest developments in technique and equipment are included in metrology planning.
This role involves assisting in the development and implementation of a Metrology QA Program, obtaining and maintaining laboratory QA accreditation, and assessing requirements to develop new measurement techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed laboratory capability studies to achieve greater support efficiency.
- Develop laboratory operational, environmental, performance, and safety criteria.
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of laboratory standards.
- Collaborate with technical societies and engineering facilities of other countries to remain current with state-of-the-art techniques.
Minimum Requirements:
- An Associate's degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, physics, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university, and twelve years of work experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electronic precision measurement equipment and calibration laboratory reference standards.
- Completion of a U.S. military precision measurement and calibration school and twelve years of work experience in the metrology and calibration field.
- Five years of experience in technical oversight and training responsibilities of calibration and repair technicians with three years within the last five.
- Amenable to obtain a Secret US Government Clearance and possess US Citizenship.
