Role Overview
The Stock Controller is responsible for overseeing daily inventory operations, including receiving and issuing stock, conducting regular counts and expiry checks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring organized and efficient store management.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records to inform purchasing decisions.
- Highlight out-of-stock items to the buyers to prevent stockouts.
- Assist with physical movements of items to optimize storage space.
- Arrange and organize the stores to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Receive supplier deliveries physically and update the system to ensure seamless processing.
- Issue stock to the kitchen to meet customer demands.
- Conduct expiry checks to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
Ideal Candidate
- Prior experience in warehouse or stock controlling is essential.
- Familiarity with supply chain procedures is necessary for success.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications, are required.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are crucial for collaboration with team members.
- Able to gather and analyze data to inform business decisions.
