Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ladle Refining Furnace Operator to join our team in Kuwait. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ladle refining furnace.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Pre-Operation Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-operation inspections to identify any potential issues or abnormalities.
  2. Ladle Preparation: Prepare the ladle for operation, including loading process parameters and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.
  3. Heat Process Activities: Perform all activities related to the heat process, including ladle receiving, purging, heating, alloy additions, trimming, slag control, sampling, and heat lifting.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure 100% compliance with lifting chemistry, temperature, and superheat requirements. Any deviations must be reported immediately.
  5. Coordination: Coordinate with refractory SIC, EAF/LF supervisor, hot metal crane operator, and other teams as required to ensure smooth operation.
  6. Logistics and Reporting: Log all information in Level 2 system, including heat reports, deviations, delays, electrode changing/adjustment activities, and ladle details.
  7. Maintenance and Housekeeping: Perform inspection activities, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Steel Melting Plant as a Ladle Refining Furnace Operator or 3 years as a Lead Ladle Refining Furnace Operator.
