Lead School Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Lead School Administrator to join our team at The American Baccalaureate School. This is a full-time position responsible for managing the daily operations of our student affairs department, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
About the Role:
- This role requires strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising staff, evaluating performance, and making informed decisions.
- You will work closely with the administrative team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, including discipline, attendance, and student behavior management.
- A key aspect of this role is building positive relationships with students, parents, and employees, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
- You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of student behavior, ensuring that all students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate department staff on classroom management procedures, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Meet with parents on discipline and behavior management issues, working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit the student and the school community.
- Keep the administrative team and school Superintendent informed of relevant issues, ensuring open communication and transparency.
- Establish a climate for student self-discipline, promoting a growth mindset and encouraging students to take ownership of their actions.
- Have disciplinary authority over students on school premises and during activities, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to behavior management.
- Supervise students and activities in school buildings and on grounds, maintaining a visible presence and being approachable for students, parents, and staff.
- Work closely with the admin team and monitor student arrival and departure times, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruptions.
- Manage student behavior during lunch duty or detention, using positive reinforcement techniques to promote good behavior and minimize misbehavior.
Qualifications:
- Native English speaker preferred, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and computer literacy skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and employees.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
