Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cementing Operations Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cementing operations and be able to perform complex calculations, troubleshoot equipment, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform cementing field calculations, acidization job calculations, and other pumping jobs as required.
  2. Coordinate with crew/staff members for day-to-day operations, ensuring safe operations at all times.
  3. Plan and carry out necessary tools and spares inspections at the field to ensure uninterrupted field operations.
  4. Troubleshoot cementing unit malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
  5. Dress and re-pack reciprocating and centrifugal pumps on the cementing units.
  6. Run and mix cement slurries using jet mixing and re-circulating systems.
  7. Run, mix, and pump ultra-light cement slurries and heavy-weight slurries as per the job program.
  8. Mix and pump cement slurries through automatic density control systems.
  9. Monitor real-time job operations through the unit.
  10. Carry out cement squeeze jobs using hesitation techniques by balancing cement plugs and through cement retainers.
  11. Conduct step-rate tests combining 2 or 3 pumping units.
  12. Load and pump nitrogen through nitrogen pumping units.
  13. Develop effective contact and marketing skills to sell and achieve more jobs by interacting with clients at the field.
  14. Discuss and recommend alternative solutions for critical jobs in pre and post-job discussions with clients.
  15. Carry out pre and post-job checklists for all equipment used on the job.
  16. Handle blow-outs on wells and pumping to kill such wells.
  17. Work efficiently with limited resources when needed.
  18. Execute one job while coordinating another job.
  19. Carry out field jobs with H2S presence in wells.
Requirements:
  • 3 years' diploma in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Preference will be given to candidates having an engineering degree.
  • 5-7 years of field experience in cementing jobs at a supervisor level with a proven track record of solving complex cementing jobs.
