Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a complex integrated system of financial services that contribute to cost-effective billing management control over project billings and financial records.

This role requires a strong leader who can supervise the overall billings services and accounting tasks associated with providing accurate, timely, and reliable services and reports. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Exercising supervisory responsibility over all Billing areas of the program, including reviewing general ledger accounting, accounts payable, budget analyst, and payroll to validate items to be included in billings.
  2. Ensuring that all financial reporting activities for the Programs are thoroughly and timely prepared and reviewed, and that all reports are in compliance with appropriate financial standards and company requirements.
  3. Assisting senior management in the development of strategic business plans and forecasts related to billings and collections; monitoring actual vs. budget/forecast ensuring cash/collections forecasts provide a realistic view of the financial position.
  4. Overseeing financial compliance, including review of financial procedures and practices to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  5. Interfaces with internal and external auditors.
  6. Other financial-related duties including consulting with senior management and functional managers regarding financial-related activities; develop and implement financial controls; conduct financial reviews of program areas; prepare and analyze various financial reports; develop and monitor performance metrics for financial management, and other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance; MBA and/or CPA certificate is strongly preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in GL accounting and Government Contract accounting preferred.
  • IFS, SAP, and Excel experience preferred.
