Network Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures.

  • Provide enterprise-level customer support for all requests to modify network firewall access-lists.
  • Manage access control to all network devices in the theater.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve web browsing issues.
  • Support requests for services hosted in the demilitarized zones (DMZ).
">

In this role, you will work closely with our network engineering team to ensure that all network devices and systems are properly configured to meet the highest standards of security.

You will be responsible for enforcing enterprise security policies, providing network security policy recommendations, project planning, change control, firewall management, and access control list (ACL) management.

">

Additionally, you will assist with identifying and investigating malicious network activity, ensuring that all managed technologies are compliant with current DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and performing regular system maintenance in support of IAVA vulnerabilities and CCRI compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide network security policy recommendations.
  • Enforce enterprise security policies.
  • Assist with identifying and investigating malicious network activity.
  • Maintain STIG compliance.
  • Perform regular system maintenance.

Requirements:

">

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferably in Computer Science or MIS, IS, Engineering or related field.
  • IAT Level: IAT III.
  • Baseline certifications: Cisco CCNP Security, CompTIA CASP+, GIAC GCED, GIAC GCIH, ISACA CISA, ISC2 CISSP.
  • CE certifications: Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Cisco CCNP Security, Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, Cisco CCIE Security.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with network and firewall technologies.
