Job Description

This role is responsible for implementing a standardized Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program based on Management System principles. The successful candidate will perform risk analyses and develop programs that exceed basic regulatory compliance.

  • Implement a comprehensive ESH program aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Determine necessary resources (such as Personal Protective Equipment) and budget accordingly.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for employees to ensure they understand and comply with ESH regulations.
  • Submit regular performance metrics and conduct ESH inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Design and implement employee recognition and reward programs to promote a culture of safety.
Responsibilities
  • Understand and comply with relevant regulatory requirements, ensuring timely submission of necessary documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, area supervisors, and regulators to implement the ESH program.
  • Execute environmental services programs for various projects, monitoring military training exercises in Kuwait.
  • Ensure design projects adhere to environmental and health regulations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on environmental efforts.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental best practices to management.
  • Analyze environmental data to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate environmental impact.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, or a technical certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in environmental compliance, OSHA, ISO, hazardous waste management, and related regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Working Conditions: Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including hot desert environments.
  • Physical Requirements: Light work with potential for heavy lifting, prolonged standing/sitting, and working with PPE in hazardous environments.
