Job Summary

The Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with established engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Their contributions will focus on the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.

The ideal candidate will have a moderate level of knowledge in Safety & Risk Engineering and experience in Brown Field oil and gas related Safety & Risk Design and Engineering.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  2. Contribute to the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
  3. Utilize local/global standards to support technical excellence.
  4. Perform Safety and Risk Studies (QRA and FERA).
  5. Safety Systems Management: Manage Firewater system – Demand calculation, P&IDs and Layouts, Clean agent system, Portable fire extinguishers – specifications, datasheets & layouts, Passive fire protection – schedule, specification and layouts.

Key Requirements:

  • Pipenet, PHAST, SAFETI, PHA Pro, Flaresim, Detect3D (optional), exSILentia (optional).
  • Moderate Level knowledge in - Safety & Risk Engineering (Active and Passive Fire protection system design, Fire and Gas detection system design, Hazardous area classification), Safety and Risk Studies (QRA and FERA).

Industry Experience:

  • Brown Field oil and gas related Safety & Risk Design and Engineering.
  • Experience in the Middle East is highly valued.

Education Requirements:

  • Full-Time Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is mandatory.
