Role Summary
This position is located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP, responsible for deploying and maintaining audio, video, and event lighting systems; designing, installing, and programming audio/video systems; and serving the Audio-Visual Department as required.

Key Responsibilities">
  • Live Event Services
    • Provide live event services for ceremonies, concerts, and other live events, including digital audio system setup and operation, live video system setup and operation, and event lighting system setup and operation.
  • Auditoriums and Meeting Rooms
    • Maintain all deployable audio and visual systems to manufacturer's standards. All equipment must be deployable with minimal notice to meet requirements.
    • Maintain the ability to deploy two event audio systems simultaneously.
  • Event Scheduling and Management
    • Maintain the schedule for all events and installations and de-conflict any scheduling problems if needed.
  • Equipment Accountability
    • Maintain accountability of all Audio Visual GFE through regular completion of property audits.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform property management services for the Audio-Visual Department.
    • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements">
  • Qualifications
    • Minimum Qualifications:
      • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
      • An active Secret Clearance is required and must be maintained.
      • Meet requirements outlined in AR 25-2 for NIPRNET access.
      • Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.
      • Customer service training is mandatory.
      • Able to obtain a host nation driver's license with a heavy vehicle endorsement.
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Infocom CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification is preferred.
      • AMX, ACE-D, ACE-I, and ACE-P certifications are preferred.
      • Extron AV Associate certification is preferred.
    • Experience:
      • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
      • 2 or more years of experience in live event production with a specialty in one of the three major disciplines: Audio, Video, or Lighting.
    • Preferred Experience:
      • The ideal candidate will also have 1-3 years of experience in audio/visual system design, installation, or programming, with knowledge and practical experience with Closed Circuit Television systems, equipment, and software.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Audio-visual system design, installation, and programming.
    • Live audio, video, and light mixing.
    • Knowledge of power distribution.
    • Audible and visible cable termination.
    • Auditory, visual, and lighting system calibration.
    • Excellent technical skills with electrical equipment and IT.
    • Creative problem-solving ability.
    • Organizational skills.
    • Ability to work well as part of a team and also on your own initiative.
    • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
    • Flexible approach for dealing with varied tasks.
    • Awareness of electrical safety issues.
    • Good communication and customer care skills.
Work Environment">
  • Working Conditions
    • Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
