Painter Lead

We are seeking a skilled Painter Lead to join our team at Vectrus. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing painting tasks and supervising a small group of employees engaged in painting activities.

• Perform painting tasks and supervise a small group of employees engaged in painting activities.
• Assure that adequate supplies and materials are readily available.
• Prepare surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty, and sanding them until smooth.
• Apply primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them.
• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a painter.
• Knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint required for different applications.
• Ability to work in extreme cold and heat temperatures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

The worker is subject to extreme cold and heat temperatures, noise, and hazards. The worker must be able to work in a variety of physical conditions, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

This position requires light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
