Job Title: Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security and experience with intrusion prevention system (IPS) sensors. You will be responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining our network-based IPS sensors, and investigating possible network and Automated Information System (AIS) security events.

Our network technology utilizes the McAfee Network Security Platform, which includes the Network Security Manager (NSM) and physical Intrusion Prevention System appliances. You will work closely with our team to ensure the effective operation of these systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network security systems.
  • Monitor, operate, and maintain network-based IPS sensors.
  • Investigate possible network and AIS security events.
  • Generate reports and update trouble tickets as required.
  • Provide O&M support of the McAfee Network Security Platform (NSP), NSM servers and IPS sensors (GUI and CLI).

Qualifications:
  • Requires an active Secret Clearance.
  • Education / Certification: One-year related experience can be substituted for one year of education if the degree is required.
  • IAT Level: Information Technology (IT) I / Information Assurance Technical (IAT) III.
