About the Role

The Production Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production facilities.

This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, reduce costs, ensure product quality, and meet production targets while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and implement efficient production workflows, systems, and processes.

    2. Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies for enhancement.

    3. Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Apply Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to improve production processes and eliminate waste.

    • Optimize resource utilization, including labor, materials, and equipment.

    • Conduct time and motion studies to improve operational efficiency.

  • Equipment and Technology Management:

    • Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and operation of production equipment.

    • Work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

    • Support the integration of new technologies and machinery into production lines.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications throughout the production process.

    • Investigate and address quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

    • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications.

  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance:

    • Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to reduce hazards.

    • Ensure production operations comply with regulatory and environmental requirements.

  • Team Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with design, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.

    • Provide technical support to production staff, including training on equipment and processes.

    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to resolve material or equipment issues.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of production processes, workflows, and improvements.

    • Generate reports on production performance, efficiency, and downtime for management review.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 2-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.

    • Proficiency in CAD software and production planning tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ERP systems).

    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Strong communication and leadership abilities to work effectively with teams.
