Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring the safe operation of vehicles.

About the Role

  • Operate both conventional and flatbed tow vehicles, including driving, towing, and backing trailers.
  • Perform preventive equipment maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of vehicles.
  • Keep and obtain all required records and documentation.
  • Respond to requests in a timely manner and perform minor roadside repairs.

Responsibilities

The Transportation Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for:

  • Performing preventive equipment maintenance.
  • Responding to requests in a timely manner.
  • Performing minor roadside repairs.
  • Keeping and obtaining all required records and documentation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of four (4) years experience as a Recovery Operator or Tow Truck Driver.
  • One (1) year Vehicle Mechanic experience.
  • Military recovery operations training highly desired.

Working Conditions

  • Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions.
