The role of a Chief Accountant involves overseeing the accuracy and integrity of financial documentation. This includes supervising accounting entries to ensure alignment with the approved chart of accounts, conducting thorough monthly and annual reconciliations, and preparing interim and annual financial statements (unaudited).
Key Responsibilities- Review daily financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare monthly financial reconciliations and settlements in accordance with established procedures.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including unaudited interim financial statements (monthly and annually).
- Collaborate with the Compliance Office to prepare periodic reports for regulatory authorities as required.
- Provide timely and informative management accounting reports to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with relevant certifications, such as professional certification in financial or management accounting.
- Over 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a similar role within the State of Kuwait.
- Strong proficiency in Arabic and English languages, including reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite Applications, particularly MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
