Job Overview

This role is responsible for protecting people and property during emergency situations. The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment with extreme temperatures, driving to emergency sites and conducting environmental assessments.

The position requires excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Fire Code, environmental regulations, and hazardous material management is also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Responds to spills of hazardous materials, blackwater spills, assessing areas for environmental impacts, submitting and writing reports.
  • Performs operational duties for the hazardous waste section (i.e. collects and submits report data).
  • Takes the lead for Hazardous Waste Section on all issues pertaining to Quality and Safety.
  • Assists in development of Environmental Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs) pertaining to Spill Control Management.
