We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Global HR Solutions General Trading Co. W.L.L.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the mechanical & compression supervisor and obtaining approved 'Permit to work', necessary tools and spare parts to carry out required mechanical maintenance, installation or modification work, ensuring all work is completed according to specific instructions, applicable methods and procedures, and in compliance with QHSE standards.
In addition, the candidate will be expected to input, scheduling and planning of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
A strong knowledge of mechanical hand tools and repair equipment, as well as alignment methods and alignment equipment, is also required.
The ideal candidate will have experience in carrying out routine predictive and preventive maintenance checks on various mechanical equipment, including verifications tests, readings, alignment and technical testing of equipment after repairs.
Responsibilities include conducting installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of different types of pumps (centrifugal single and multistage pumps, chemical injection pumps and air operated diaphragm pumps), as well as dismantling and installing different types of mechanical seals and seal plans.
The candidate will also be responsible for carrying out routine predictive and corrective maintenance checks on Gas engine compressor including changing oil, cooling waters, oil filters, and spark plugs and maintained all auxiliary equipment.
Other responsibilities include conducting maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of screw compressors, and routine predictive and corrective maintenance checks on Gas turbines.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with fan coolers, and conducting installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of different types of static equipment such as shell and tube heat exchangers, plate heat exchangers, filters, strainers, piping, flanges and valves.
