Job Title: Environmental Specialist

As an environmental specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the environment is protected and preserved. You will be responsible for coordinating tasks within the environmental engineering discipline and ensuring the progress and quality of assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate specified tasks within the environmental engineering discipline.
  • Ensure the progress and quality of assigned tasks, including supervising engineers and graduates.
  • Ensure all work conforms with codes, practices, contract specifications, schedules, and procedures.
  • Provide innovative, cost-effective solutions for operating problems and capacity constraints in oil, gas, and petrochemical operations.
  • Manage, technically execute, and complete engineering tasks in the environmental discipline.
  • Assist project engineers in preparing input for contract documents, including design criteria, scope, procedures, and approach.
  • Coordinate with other engineers and discipline groups to produce timely deliverables.
  • Manage studies and environment-oriented projects as assigned.
  • Develop and improve company standards and environmental design methods.
  • Produce technical reports and operating manuals through technical writing activities.
  • Train and mentor new environmental engineering graduates for professional development.
  • Work within the Quality Assurance system guidelines relevant to the Oil and Gas Business Unit.
  • Follow safety procedures and ensure personal safety practices.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Environment or Chemical, or an equivalent diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working within PMC projects in relevant industries.
  • Proficiency with advanced engineering tools, data systems, and office/engineering software.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse cultures and nationalities.
  • Knowledge of process engineering across all project phases in Oil & Gas or related industries.
  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with excellent time management and planning skills.
  • Willingness to engage and manage clients as required.
