Under the general direction of the Fire Chief, this position is responsible for implementing the LOGCAP V Fire Protection Plan and ensuring emergency response operations are conducted within the guidelines stipulated by this plan and the Emergency Management Plans.

• Directs and leads firefighters during firefighting operations, rescue operations, hazardous materials incidents, and other related emergencies events.
• Implements the fire protection programs that conform to the Performance Work Statement.
• Maintains a safe workplace, ensuring safety is the highest priority.
• Complies with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements and goals.
• Provides documentation to EHS and QA divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

• High School diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree in Fire Science preferred).
• Do D, Pro-board, or International Fire Services Accreditation Congress Certification as Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, Hazmat Operations, and Incident Commander.
• 5 years of experience with an organized Fire or Emergency Service Department, with 2 years at the level of Company Officer preferred.

Duties will involve the conduct of work in the outdoors with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions, including frequent dust storms and high temperatures up to 130 degrees in the summer months.

Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required.
