Job Overview:
The role of a Contract Administrator involves managing, advising on and administering all activities concerned with contracts for works and services associated with oil and gas facilities projects.
This includes responsibility for pre–award activities such as bid invitation preparation, processing queries from bidders, preparation of bid evaluation programmes, evaluation of bids, negotiation, contract preparation and award formalities; post – award activities like conducting kick – off meetings, coordinating all contract submittals and correspondence, preparation and processing of variation orders, claims and close out; drafting of Invitation to Tender packages for contracts for large O&G facilities projects; reviewing issues with legal, risk management, tax, and accounting personnel; functioning as a part of a negotiating team to establish the terms and conditions of a contract; monitoring and ensuring the business provisions of assigned contracts are administered to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-award activities including bid invitation preparation, query processing, bid evaluation programmes, negotiations, and contract preparations.
- Post-award activities including project kickoff meetings, contract submissions, variation order preparation, claim processing, and closeout.
- Drafting and reviewing tender packages, client contract conditions, and contract documentation.
- Collaborating with legal, risk, tax, and accounting teams to resolve contractual issues.
- Negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensuring contract compliance and administration throughout the project lifecycle.
