Job Description

To manage and oversee all instrumentation engineering activities associated with Mega Projects PMC contracts as part of an integrated Client/Company team.

This role involves directing and consulting several groups engaged in interrelated instrumentations engineering responsibilities, ensuring the execution of multi-discipline FEED/Conceptual Design Studies in both local and affiliated international offices is managed effectively.

The primary objective of this position is to lead a technically competent, cohesive, and functional instrumentation engineering team, responsible for the timeliness and technical correctness of all works performed by the Instrumentations Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage design budgets, estimates, forecasts, and schedules.
  • Recruit and develop a technically competent instrumentation engineering team.
  • Coordinate and administer necessary training programs for trainees.
  • Ensure all instrumentations design engineering activities meet or exceed engineering standards with regard to quality, cost, safety, and performance.
  • Manage third-party consultants/specialists and value improvement processes.
  • Maintain technical integrity, addressing working methods, tools, quality assurance, peer reviews, and communication with team members on other projects.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 18 years of total post-graduation experience.
  • A minimum of 12 years of post-graduation experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in related designation/specialty.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects in instrumentation design and engineering in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong technical skills in the onshore oil and gas industry.

Optional Skills:

  • High level of understanding of management of interfaces across multi-functional Company and Client groups.
  • Well-developed man management and client management skills.
