Job Description:

This position is located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.

The Supply and Services (S&S) Director, Theater Distribution Manager, and/or Operations Manager supervise the incumbent in managing either the LRC/SSA Warehouse, Foreword Redistribution Point, the Central Issue Facility / Self Service Supply Center, CBRN Warehouse, and Basic Life Support by performing technical supply management work. This includes inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization related to depot, local, retrograde, or other supply activities.

The selected candidate follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all tasks are accomplished safely and with a focus on quality. They plan shifts to meet mission needs and verify actual hours worked by personnel to manage overtime.

The individual ensures that personnel complete all tasks in accordance with Environmental, Safety & Health directives. They provide leadership and mentor junior personnel to develop appropriate skill sets.

Customer concerns are addressed in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.

Responsibilities include applying analytical ability to define and take appropriate supply action based upon the application or interpretation of established guidelines. The work involves individual case problems or supply actions.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Inventory Management: Decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies and equipment, are managed.
  • Material Coordination: Special programs, maintenance, or production shops require material coordination duties.
  • Personnel Management: Work assignments, counseling, overtime assignments, shifts, and other administrative functions are managed.
  • Administrative Matters: SOPs are developed and implemented, ISO quality performance is monitored, document control is maintained, time sheet approvals are given, files management is performed, CDRL review and submission are completed, and certification, licensing, and training documentation is administered.
  • Security Procedures: Key and lock inventory and control, security construction statements in each storage location, escorting personnel requiring access to the warehouse not on approved access rosters, and daily security of all buildings, offices, and equipment are ensured.

The successful candidate must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • GCSS-Army System training certificate desired or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Capability to effectively communicate technical information in English, both written and verbal.
  • Status as a U.S. Citizen.
  • Able to obtain and maintain valid Secret Clearance.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and host nation Driver's License.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 5 years' experience in warehousing, supply operations, freight, and/or transportation.
  • 3 years management experience on programs of similar size and complexity.
  • MS Office with an intermediate level of WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT.
  • Experience in military or commercial supply management software is required.
  • Extensive GCSS-Army experience is a must.
  • Supervisory training.
  • Ability to deliver training on his/her area of expertise to the lowest level.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Working Conditions:

The position requires working in an indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions, including hot, dry, desert environments with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months.

Some industrial production environment conditions also exist.

Physical Requirements:

Moderate work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

PPE is required for some situations.
