Amentum is seeking an experienced Aviation GSE (Ground Support Equipment) Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions and repairing ground support equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions
- Solve repair problems using technical publications and test equipment
- Analyze and diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions
- Disassemble and assemble malfunctioning GSE accessories and components
- Store, handle, label, use, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with environmental standards and regulations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- U.S. Military Technical school or specialized training course is desired
- Three years of Aviation GSE experience in the last Six years
- Valid U.S. Passport required
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility Public Trust NAC-I
- Able to pass CENTCOM Medical requirements for deployment
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of inspection, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of ground support equipment
- Knowledge of military publications, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams, and schematics
- Individual must be able to prioritize workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands
- May be required to lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds
