Job Summary

Vectrus, Inc. is seeking a skilled CCTV System Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Audio Visual department, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of Closed Circuit Television systems in support of the ASG-KU mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, and program new CCTV systems for Area Support Group Kuwait (ASG-KU).
  • Maintain installed CCTV systems belonging to ASG-KU and assigned facilities.
  • Operate, maintain, and install communications systems including outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP).
  • Install conduit, Panduit, and cables such as CAT 6, HDMI, and VGA at a professional level.
  • Support setup and breakdown of AV events.
  • Test and troubleshoot networking, cabling issues related to CCTV systems, and terminate coaxial, fiber, and copper cable as needed for analog and IP-based CCTV.
  • Install CCTV systems support infrastructures (brackets, racks).
  • Program analog and IP-based CCTV systems.
  • Maintain and organize cable and equipment.
Requirements:
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Hold Secret Clearance.
    • Effective communication of technical information in English, both written and verbal.
    • Customer service training.
    • Able to obtain a Kuwait driver's license with a heavy vehicle endorsement.
    • ITI / High School diploma in IT or electronics; or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years customer service experience.
    • 2 or more years of experience in the installation and maintenance of Closed Circuit Television Systems, equipment, and software.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in ISP/OSP such as installing, dressing, and terminating cables, digging necessary trenches using proper tools and equipment, and installing conduit and panduit at a professional level.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics.
    • Ability to plan and organize materials for proposed CCTV installations, creating Bill of Materials lists.
    • Working knowledge of Windows and use of test equipment such as: multi-meters, SPL meters, and communicating devices.
    • Excellent communications and customer service skills.
    • Awareness of electrical safety issues and NEC Standards.
    • Proficient at Microsoft Office applications.
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    • The work environment is generally conducted in an administrative setting but may involve working outside with potential exposure to extreme temperatures.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required.
  • PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
    • May be required to pull long lengths of cables in tight spaces, lift, climb, dig, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts normally required.
