Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company by managing accounting functions, maintaining the ERP system, and supervising junior officers. This role also involves working closely with advisors and senior management to support key financial decision-making and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ERP System Management: Run and maintain the company's ERP system to ensure accurate and real-time financial data processing.
  • Financial Reporting & Accounts: Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure that all accounts are closed on time and in compliance with Kuwaiti financial regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a junior officer in the data-entry team, providing oversight and guidance on all financial data-entry tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Tax & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax laws, including corporate tax filings and other statutory obligations.
  • Payroll & Bank Reconciliations: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning for company operations.
  • Financial Policies & Controls: Develop and implement internal financial policies and controls to mitigate risks and safeguard company assets.
  • External Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all communication with financial advisors, external auditors, regulatory bodies, and banks.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to guide strategic decisions.
  • Timely Execution: Ensure all financial activities are completed promptly, meeting deadlines and maintaining transparency in financial operations.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial strategies are aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Effective Communication: Handle financial inquiries and requests in a prompt, clear, and professional manner to ensure smooth operational flow.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the dairy or agricultural sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in preparing financial reports and using financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with Kuwait's financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly for internal and external communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
