As a Mechanical Supervisor at Sshic, you will be responsible for supervising and verifying onsite mechanical engineering works. Your duties will include ensuring conformity with all contract documents, SSH policies, and industry best practices.

About the Role
  • Manage, monitor, and report on the delivery of SSH's Scope of Services under SSH's Contract.
  • Provide regular project reporting to the Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer and Lead / Senior Mechanical Engineer.
  • Support the delivery of SSH Scope of Services following best practice project management principles.

You will also be responsible for reviewing and recommending progress percentages of all discipline activities to the client or Construction Manager for Contractor's Monthly Payment Applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Check and review Contractor's shop drawings for all mechanical works.
  2. Implement contract documents requirements on site.
  3. Review and recommend completed progress percentages of all discipline activities.
  4. Inspect materials delivered to the project site for compliance with approved materials data/samples.
  5. Evaluate quality of works to ensure compliance with contract specification requirements, method statements, and approvals.
  6. Recommend issuing Non-Conformance Reports as applicable.
  7. Review and approve shop drawings submitted by contractors.
  8. Carry out regular periodic inspections at the site to ensure standards are being maintained.
  9. Prepare snagging lists.
  10. Conduct, verify, and approve testing and commissioning processes in accordance with project specifications and relevant codes/standards.

In addition, you will be responsible for robust interface and communication with SSH Building Design Division and SSH Support Services to ensure SSH PCMS delivery is not negatively impacted.

This role requires ability to recognize, avoid, or respond to non-justified variation claims raised by contractors.
