Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Director to join our team at HealthCare Dynamics Gen. Trading Company W.L.L.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of store design and construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and ensure that all new store openings and renovations are completed on schedule and within allocated budgets.
  • Supervise and verify that all stores and renovation projects adhere to specifications set by franchisors in collaboration with the design team.
  • Maintain oversight of existing store refurbishments and new store constructions.
  • Analyze preliminary site surveys alongside detailed project requirements and constraints for effective project execution.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects and maintain the highest quality standards by monitoring and reporting on contractor and consultant performance.
  • Closely collaborate with the design team to execute projects in accordance with established design parameters.
  • Oversee project managers in preparing detailed bills of quantities (B.O.Q) and inviting tenders.
  • Guarantee implementation of design, equipment layouts, and brand standards.
  • Promote necessary approvals for works, including planning, building Control, landlords, etc.
  • Review bi-monthly progress reports and address any pending cases or critical issues.
  • Monitor and oversee signage, furniture, and other owner-provided packages through liaison with approved subcontractors.
  • Maintain control over cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
  • Assess and evaluate construction methods to determine their cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee planning, organizing, and directing activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Monitor and assess specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction projects.
  • Ensure adherence to specifications and company policies by cascading them down to subordinates and/or contractors and enforcing safety regulations.
  • Verify compliance with building codes by overseeing project managers and the maintenance team to ensure that project managers conduct thorough inspections to confirm that work meets specifications, budget, and time schedule.
  • Foster a process ensuring architectural and engineering firms align design translation consistently with brand standards and store vision.
  • Review and disseminate regular reporting on progress across all projects managed by the construction team.
  • Supervise project managers across various clusters.
  • Review and approve succession planning for relevant key positions to comply with succession planning processes.
