Gama Aviation LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Aviation Quality Specialist to join our team in Kuwait. This is a fixed-term contract position until June 2025.

Job Description

This role involves monitoring compliance and the adequacy of procedures to ensure Gama continues to comply with the requirements of Part 145. The successful candidate will arrange and perform scheduled and non-scheduled audits, providing regulatory advice, guidance, and coordination to management and employees.

Working with exclusive aircraft including AS365, EC135, and H225, this is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced quality professional to enhance their capabilities, gaining exposure and experience supporting a government contract.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting with compliance monitoring, which includes a feedback system to the accountable manager to ensure corrective action as necessary;
  • Monitoring activities carried out under Part 145 are being performed in accordance with the approved procedures;
  • Monitoring that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the contract;
  • Monitoring the continued compliance with requirements of Part 145 and Part M;
  • Accompanying a competent authority auditor/surveyor throughout an audit to ensure the organization is fully aware of any findings raised during the audit;
  • Being jointly accountable for the Part 145 quality policy, plan, and audit procedures;
  • Sharing responsibility for the currency of the MOE;
  • Deputising for the Quality Manager within Maintenance and Engineering functions in Kuwait;
  • Conducting Compliance investigations as required;
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance with EASA regulation in accordance with the QMS;
  • Striving to deliver excellence in accordance with the Kuwait vision and strategy;
  • Managing and issuing maintenance authorisations for Part 145;
  • Ensuring effective corrective and preventative follow-up actions from completed audits.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Able to hold the EASA Quality Manager Form 4 as approved by the CAA for the following approvals Part M, P145;
  • Able to hold the appropriate security clearance required for the role;
  • Capable line manager;
  • Active team player with the ability to work collaboratively;
  • Sound knowledge of the organisation's operations, procedures, and activities;
  • Broad aviation technical knowledge including considerable experience within Engineering and Maintenance department;
  • Extensive knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) and have completed appropriate QMS training;
  • Experience in conducting safety/compliance audits and inspections;
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internal and external to the organization;
  • Human Factors training;
  • Safety Management Systems;
  • EWIS; Fuel Tank Safety.

Desirable skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in HEMS, SAR or Oil and Gas helicopter operating environments;
  • Able to demonstrate excellent commercial awareness;
  • Willingness to work out of normal working hours, if required;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to work;
  • Confident, approachable, and enthusiastic;
  • Accurate, numerate with excellent attention to detail;
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously;
  • Flexibility to travel, when required;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Aviation Related Qualification in Quality Management;
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent;
  • Compliance/Audit Training;
  • Experience of compliance/quality management;
  • Resourcefulness, adaptability and high level of personal motivation and commitment.
