Role Overview

The Lead Accountant - Commercial Kitchen will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the kitchen, including accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance with internal controls.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and daily bookkeeping.
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management review.
  • Monitor and manage financial data, expenses, and cost controls.
  • Supervise the storekeeper and ensure accurate inventory tracking and raw materials management.
  • Manage purchasing processes, including quoting and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Maintain updated supplier records and ensure timely payments and reconciliations.
  • Verify all incoming goods and materials against purchase orders and financial records.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations in coordination with the store team.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to align financial data with daily kitchen activity.
  • Provide regular financial insights and updates to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and audit requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CMA is a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in food production or hospitality.
  • Solid understanding of inventory systems, procurement, and cost accounting.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and sourcing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a small team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
