We are seeking an experienced IT Security Strategist and Database Administrator to join our team at Diyar United Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the security posture of our applications and databases, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security.

Responsibilities


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in application architecture and software development skills on the Microsoft platform, with extensive hands-on experience in database and application security. They will be responsible for:



  • Auditing and inspecting codes for vulnerabilities and bugs, applying required fixes
  • Analyzing and inspecting malware and unusual behavior/traffic using a variety of tools
  • Monitoring, tracking, operating, and maintaining different security appliances, reporting to management with recommendations and actions required to mitigate cyber threats
  • Conducting penetration tests to assess the security posture of local and published applications
  • Preparing and submitting required frequent security reports to team members and management
  • Frequently assessing security posture and recommending design or policy modifications for improvements and enhancements
  • Conducting static and dynamic code inspections
  • Performing software security testing using tools and web application penetration techniques
  • Designing and implementing authentication schemes
  • Performing application security audits and reviews
  • Overseeing secure software design and development
  • Developing and enforcing security policies and procedures across the Application Security domain during the development life cycle
  • Ensuring applications are effectively security tested according to their criticality throughout development and its lifecycle
  • Ensuring that project and development teams gain sufficient IT security awareness for designing new services
  • Designing security measures and an overall security architecture for the Application Security landscape
  • Performing risk assessments, security architecture, and data sanitization in coordination with DBA
  • Taking significant responsibility for owning the strategy, delivery, and operational monitoring of all database security activities
  • Undertaking database vulnerability assessments, ensuring auditability of databases, and providing secure database baselines
  • Reviewing and monitoring security designs and audit activities related to security compliance, monitoring security controls in the application and database domain
  • Automating alerting and correlation regarding application and database security events and alerts


Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have:



  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Communication, or Cyber Security
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in application architecture and software development skills on the Microsoft platform
  • Extensive hands-on experience in database and application security for at least 5 years
  • Expert/certified in Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model (SAMM), or Building Security in Maturity Model (BSIMM)


Salary Range


We offer a competitive salary range of KD 4,500 - KD 6,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
