Aircraft Maintenance Professional

About the Role

The Aircraft Mechanic III is a critical position within our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of military tactical aircraft. This role requires an individual with a strong background in aviation maintenance, who can troubleshoot and repair complex aircraft systems.

As an Aircraft Mechanic III, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. You will apply your technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition and operation.

This role also involves applying professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals. You will make entries in aircraft logs and records, provide guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians, plan, conduct, and supervise aircraft technical inspections, and participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in aviation maintenance, a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts. You will also need to have a broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, basic knowledge of electrical theory, and a working knowledge of technical publications and Logistics Information Systems.

You will need to possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to prioritize workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects, and be able to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks. Additionally, you will need to be physically fit, able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods, climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, and lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds.

Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role, and you must be able to clear CENTCOM Medical requirements. You will also need to be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization and obtain a Kuwait Visa. A valid FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P) License is preferred, but not required.
