Materials Researcher

About the Role

This is a full-time on-site position located at our facility. As a Materials Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting research and development related to materials, selecting appropriate materials for various applications, and analyzing the properties and structure of different materials.

You will work closely with our team of engineers and scientists to develop and implement new materials and technologies. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to make informed decisions and drive project success.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development related to materials, including researching and developing new materials and technologies
  • Select appropriate materials for various applications, considering factors such as cost, performance, and environmental impact
  • Analyze the properties and structure of different materials using laboratory testing and equipment
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress and results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality control, and design engineering, to drive process improvements and innovation
  • Oversee materials science projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Research and Development (R&D) and materials science
  • Experience in asphalt lab tests and knowledge of materials selection and materials science
  • Expertise in Metallurgy processes and principles, including extraction, processing, and characterization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and draw conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience in the engineering field; industry experience preferred
