Installation Access Specialist

Job Description

This role is responsible for operating the Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS), reviewing and analyzing documents, and reconciling Installation Access Programs in support of ASG-KU.

  • Reviews and analyzes various documents to ensure consistency between them and the organization's functions.
  • Reconciles Installation Access Programs, questioning areas that are unclear or contrary to command guidance.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Granting of installation access badges to include enrolling all Locally Employed Persons (LEPs).
  2. Receives and relays pertinent communication.
  3. Reviews all installation access applications in accordance with ASG-KU policy.
  4. Updates barment rosters denying unauthorized individuals onto the installation.
  5. Inventories & Maintains and trouble shoots all DBIDS equipment.
  6. Performs other duties or assignments as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must have computer experience and thorough knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Prior DBIDS experience is a plus.
  • Deployed Southwest Asia (SWA) experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions.
Physical Requirements
  • Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and working with exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
