Safety and Risk Management Professional

Job Description

  • As a Safety and Risk Management Professional, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our project's HSE Management System, ensuring compliance with relevant HSE Legislation and KOC HSE requirements.
  • This role involves working closely with EPC contractors to ensure they have established and maintained statistical data concerning health and safety matters.
  • You will also be responsible for reviewing EPC contractor Safety Management Systems and advising on required changes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the project's HSE Management System.
  • Maintain statistical data concerning health and safety matters.
  • Prepare reports as required for the HSEQ Manager.
  • Provide advice and assistance to EPC HSE managers to reduce risk to project employees and the environment.
  • Ensure EPC contractors establish and maintain statistical data concerning health and safety matters.
  • Review EPC contractor Safety Management Systems and advise on required changes.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOC, regulatory bodies, and EPC contractors.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering or HSE related Diploma.
  • Post qualification experience in Oil & Gas.
  • Experience in a HSE supervisor role.
  • Practical experience in identification and control of HSE issues on construction sites.
  • Familiarity with safety hazards in common construction activities.
