PHP Software Engineer

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced PHP Developer (Senior or Mid Level) to join our team at Hesabe Company for Electronic Payments and Settlements. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing high-quality back-end web applications using PHP, implementing object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality back-end web applications using PHP
• Implement object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to ensure maintainable and scalable code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in payment processing and fintech

Requirements:

1. Strong expertise in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
2. Minimum 3 years of experience with Laravel
3. Knowledge of best practices for optimizing MySQL queries
4. Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
5. Front-End Development experience is a plus
6. Strong programming skills, including bug fixing and analytical thinking
7. Experience in payment processing or the fintech industry is a plus
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
9. Experience in guiding teams in adopting new technologies such as AI tools, serverless infrastructure, and unit testing and debugging
10. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus
11. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Odoo, Shopify Apps, Swift, or Python is a plus
12. Basic or Intermediate knowledge about cybersecurity is a plus
