The position of Telecommunications Network Engineer is available at Five Rivers Services, an Akima company. As a leading provider of federal IT services, we are seeking a skilled professional to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement telecommunication networks, ensuring high-performance connectivity for various applications.
  2. Conduct site surveys to identify optimal locations for network infrastructure installation.
  3. Analyze and troubleshoot complex communication issues to minimize downtime.
  4. Develop comprehensive project plans, including cost estimates, material lists, and timelines.
  5. Collaborate with vendors to procure necessary equipment and materials.
Requirements:
  1. Active Secret Clearance or higher.
  2. Associate degree in Engineering or a related field (Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Electrical and/or Electronics Communications Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering).
  3. Three years of experience in telecommunications engineering, designing and implementing networks, troubleshooting, and conducting site surveys.
  4. Proven work experience in telecommunication engineering, designing and implementing networks, troubleshooting, and conducting site surveys.
  5. Possession of BICSI OSP Designer certification, Fiber-to-the-x Outside Plant Design certification, Certified Outside Plant Fiber Optic Specialist certification, and BICSI Information Transport System Technician certification.
  6. Ability to produce bill of materials and complete network diagrams in 2D format using AutoCAD or similar platform.
  7. Experience writing Statements of Work, Performance of Work Statements, and other contracting-related documents.
