We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Laboratory Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our laboratory operations.

Job Description:
  • Laboratory Operations Management:
    • Oversight of daily laboratory activities, ensuring adherence to strict safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment; coordination of repairs and management of chemical and consumable inventory.
    • Scheduling of laboratory activities and effective assignment of tasks to staff.
    • Audit of accurate documentation and maintenance of a robust chain of custody for all samples.
    • Management of laboratory budgets and expenditure accounts.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Implementation and continuous monitoring of quality management systems (e.g., ISO, GMP, GLP).
    • Review and approval of test reports, identification of errors, and implementation of timely corrective actions.
    • Development, review, and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Staff Management and Training:
    • Supervision, training, and mentorship of laboratory personnel; conduct of performance evaluations and promotion of team development.
    • Adequate staffing levels, management of hiring processes, and efficient task assignment.
    • Cultivation of a collaborative and safe working environment.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Development, enforcement, and regular review of comprehensive laboratory safety protocols.

    • Preparation for and active participation in internal and external audits.
  • Technical and Analytical Duties:
    • Conduct or oversight of various laboratory tests, meticulous analysis of data, and preparation of detailed reports.
    • Development of new testing methods and effective troubleshooting of technical issues.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO) and consistent implementation of best practices.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
    • Addressing client inquiries and complaints, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
