Job OverviewVectrus is seeking a highly skilled Senior Radio Systems Engineer to join their team in Kuwait. As a key member of the LOGCAP team, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the Land Mobile Radio network, currently comprised of ASTRO 25 and WAVES Mass Notification System.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Managing and supporting the Land Mobile Radio System (LMRS) and WAVES Mass Notification System;
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all user-generated support issues;
- Requesting and managing frequency allocations;
- Supervising technicians and engineers who work on the LMRS and WAVES Mass Notification System;
- Providing training for Communication Engineers to ensure their skills are up-to-date on current equipment;
- Identifying improvements and making recommendations for enhancements and upgrades to the overall performance of the systems;
- Performing other duties as assigned.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- High School diploma with 8 years' experience, an Associate's degree with 4 years' experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years' experience;
- U.S. citizenship;
- Valid Secret clearance;
- Meets requirements outlined in AR 25-2 for NIPRNET access;
- DoD Information Assurance Awareness Training;
- A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Kuwait Heavy Duty Driver's License.

This position requires the ability to work in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The indoor and outdoor environment is harsh, with hot, dry conditions, and includes some industrial production environment conditions.
Physical RequirementsThe job requires medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
